In the 5th class we are able to make a Diploma Project. So I decided to make it with three other persons of my class. These are Blum Martin, Bereuter Joachim and Grabherr Simon.

In one of the first weeks of this school year we asked at the Julius Blum Ges.m.b.H in Höchst to do our project in corporation with this firm. After the agreement of the company we met . Mr. Hämmerle at BLUM Werk 3 in Höchst. There he presented us some different projects with different kinds of fields. We decided to take the project, for which we have to construct a handling device for mounting the single tools in a Transfer Stamping Street. The reason, why they want a handling device is, that the person, who has to assemble the single tools at the machine, could easily hurt his fingers because the tools are very heavy. The biggest problem for us to create the handling device is, that we have a very restricted fitting space because the construction of the Transfer Stamping Street is very compact. The project must improve the ergonomic problems of assembling the tools.

Our supervisor at school is Mr. Alfred Baer and our consultant at Blum Ges.m.b.H is Mr. Dieter Hämmerle.

I completed my internships at:

1998: Spenglerei Nagel in Höchst
There I did different panel-beater work outside the firm.
1999: Julius BLUM Ges.m.b.H
That summer I was a mechanic in the production at BLUM Werk 4 in Bregenz for 4 weeks.
2000: Julius BLUM Ges.m.b.H
That summer I was a mechanic in the factory at BLUM Werk 2 in Höchst for 4 weeks.
2001: Julius BLUM Ges.m.b.H
In the summer of 2001 I worked as a CAD-draftsman with the CAD-program EUCLID at BLUM Werk 3 in Höchst.
2002: Julius BLUM Ges.m.b.H
That summer my task was to assemble parts of mounting machines at BLUM Werk 3 in the department for SMB (Sondermaschinenbau).

My first years in the economy I want to work as an assembling man in a company to learn for example the different sequence of operations of a product. I can also imagine working in other countries for some weeks or months.

After some years I would like to work as an engineer in the research & development department.
