To get a better insight into practice, two of my colleagues and myself decided to look for a diploma project. Our assignment is to design a trash rake cleaning machine. This is a product by the "Künz"(Künz) company, based in Hard. The main challenge of this project is to find a good solution to clean the trash rake from different kinds of debris (e.g. leaves, garbage, tree trunks, dead animals ...). The trash rake should be portable. The company does not only require the designing and planning of the various stations, but also a cost estimate. If the device works well it will actually be implemented.

We hope to finalize our work in April 2003.

During my summer vacations I already worked at these companies:

  • Doppelmayr (at the mechanical production)
  • I spent the remaining weeks at an alpine pasture.

    First I want to work some years as an assembly man or in workshop. After getting some practical experience, I look forward to working in a research and development department or design department.
