In my final year I decided not to do a diploma project. I thought that because of this I could be prepared more properly for the subjects I have to accomplish. Therefore I will make a specialist project in the field of automation instead of the diploma project. So far I have no idea what the subject of the project will be. Another reason for my decision was that I did a diploma project for LIEBHERR last year. It was very time-consuming which made me neglect the other subjects which resulted in poor marks. The task last year was the adaptation of an already existing milling clamp onto a new system. Our project team consisted of 3 people. My task was the optimization of workplaces under consideration of internal regulations.

I concentrate more on manipulations-engineering, mechanics and production engineering. I am also very much interested in hydraulics.

I worked three times at the VIW during my holidays. I was involved in the revision of pumps and compressors. Those activities where very interesting and helpful for my studies.

I want to study at the Montan-University in Leoben, in the field of petrol engineering.


Because I do not want to work with small parts and I am specially interested in the field of offshore-production, I would like to work as a specialist for drilling, but I am also interested in the field of heavy industries.
